Member Benefits

As a club, we feel that we have a lot to offer fellow reefers of Northwest Indiana. Here is a list of some of the benefits available to our members:

  1. Meet fellow reefers and share information to help you succeed in the hobby
  2. Save money by learning from other's experiences and mistakes
  3. Monthly meetings with other local reefers. Opportunities to swap frags, talk shop, purchase used equipment, meet other hobbyists in the area.
  4. Discounts (usually 10%) to most of our sponsors. Mention you are a NWIMAC club member and present your membership card for discount.
  5. Behind the Scenes tours - we have had local retailers give us access to their maintenance personal and a behind the scenes tour of their tanks and filtration setups.
  6. Annual Summer Cookout
  7. Entry into giveaways, and access to group buys
  8. Access to the 'Members Only' and 'Sponsors' sections of our forums.

 

How to become a member of NWIMAC

Becoming a member is easy. You can meet up with a board member (Bigevill1, Yukon, Skjohn98, lnbski3, or fenderguy) and pay your $20 yearly dues, or you can PayPal $21 to webmaster@nwimac.org . All we ask is that you also PM a board member when sending a PayPal payment so that we know to send you your membership card.


Calendar of Events

October 28th, 2011

The NWIMAC October meeting is on Friday the 28th at 6 PM @ Bigevil1's house in Crown Point. He intends on having the tank in tip top shape and maybe will have a frag or two to raffle off to those who come by including maybe an Original Mummy eye, or a Reverse Purple Swirl Mummy eye chalice. He will also give demos on running and maintaining a bio-pellet reactor and will go over some of its benifits and possible pit falls. There will be pop and some snacks, but it wont be a meal type meeting. We will also discuss the future of the club as Elections will be coming up for the Christmas meeting when Bigevil1, Skjohn, and Yukon's 2 year terms as board members will come to an end.

Remember every meeting attended enters you into the year end raffle for the Big prize.
