  • Glass shop to cut glass

Any recommendations for a fair priced sympathetic to the hobby place in CP, Valpo area. Need some sump dividers. Thanks!

Does it need to be glass or can it be acrylic? My dividers are acrylic and work great.

I need to get some cut for my sump, I know one thing if I do glass I want it a little thicker then the glass I got from Ace hardware and I want to get it sanded or buffed out on that top edge, I ask me why lol

I have built 4 sumps and used Georges Northwest Glass in Hammond
on Kennedy ave each time. Phone number 219-844-2000
I would use 1/4" thick glass cut about 1/8" smaller then the inside width.
Let them know what the glass is for and they will buff the outside edges.

I learned the last time no thin glass from ace, either thicker and buffed on the top edge or acrylic, and I am afraid acrylic won't hold to he silicone and a little more distance between the middle piece and outer pieces

Re: Glass shop to cut glass

I can cut acrylic. My sump is going on 3 years old and was siliconed. I made carols with the same.

I can cut and install for materials plus a couple bucks. Turn around time is 2-3 days depending on work schedule. You can see my sump and carols as proof that it works.
